Chris began making pottery in 1972 and it was love from the beginning. This is not surprising since as a kid she spent hours under the orange blossom tree making and "serving" mud pies with her sisters. In the 80s she and Alex moved to Maine, set up the studio, built the kiln and established The Pottery Shop in Perkins Cove. Our pottery is made in the tradition of The Arts and Crafts Movement in America, reflecting the Art that is life. It is meant to be used. Our hope is that you find as much joy in the use of our potter as we find in the making of it.
